I’m quite sure many people would look at this as stupidly obvious. This is where the “for Guys” part of the title comes in because I can’t be the only guy who considers a new shirt to be a clean shirt. And new towels to be clean towels. Hell, the towels will probably never be as clean as they are straight from the store, right?
Well, I just picked up some new towels at my local Linens-n-Things (it’s a store where you buy towels when Target doesn’t have the right color). I’ve had them a few days and I realized that my bathroom now has little pieces of lint all over it. Seems the new towels shed. Looks like I should have washed them before using. Who knew?
Apparently, you’re not supposed to use fabric softener on towels either because it makes them less absorbent.
